How about Disney?
I spent a few nice days in beautiful Naples, Florida last week. On the second day I somehow got burned on the socket area of my shoulders and around my knees and inside of my thighs. It was an odd experience. I was hoping to get a great tan while I was there but had to settle for a tinge of color instead. C'est la vie.
The group went to Orlando on Sunday and stayed until Tuesday morning so we would be there for the whole day Monday. I was the only one without kids so it was similar to a 3rd wheel situation. We stayed at the
Pop Century Resort. We found out later that it used to be housing for Disney workers that they dressed up to turn into another revenue center. It wasn't the nicest place but, then again, it was a fraction of what the other resorts were.
I flew Spirit Airlines on the trip from Detroit (DTW) to Fort Myers (RSW) and from Orlando (MCO) back. It was inevitable that you would start getting charged for everything on a flight. I understand charging for alcohol, snacks, soda, and juice. The two bucks for a coffee surprised me though. Before the 9:30AM trip back I got a 16oz fresh cup of (quality) coffee and a cinnamon roll big enough to hold me over until the afternoon for a total of $4.00. I never thought I would feel like I got a good deal buying something in an airport. That is how the saying goes though, there is a first time for everything.

Nothing in particular
I am a week late for my weekly update. I don't have anything particularly interesting to say. I thought that I could just keep typing for a while. Perhaps I could get you to read for a few minutes and at the end ask yourself, "What was the point?"

Cedar Point
I went to Cedar Point with my sister, brother-in-law, nephew, and niece last weekend. I haven't been in five years and had been wanting to go for a while. We stayed at Castaway Bay. There is a decent water park attached to the hotel. My nephew had a blast! After the kids went to bed we sat out on the porch and chatted for a while.
The next day was pretty great. There was some rain before the park opened but the rest of the day was 80 and beautiful. There are these "parent passes" that allow someone staying with kids (that aren't able to ride) to ride after the other person gets off. Sometimes I would wait in the long line so they could stay with the kids and then I would watch the kids for a few minutes while they rode. There were also the times that I rode with one of them then rode again with the other immediately afterward. It worked out pretty well.

I was naughty and took a video when I rode Top Thrill Dragster. I waited an extra half hour for the front car but it was worth it. The video is a little bouncy because I was trying to do it on the sly. Enjoy!
